The 30th Annual Swiss Symposium in Pharmaceutical Medicine will be organised by the Swiss Society of Pharmaceutical Medicine (SGPM) in partnership with and scientific support from the European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM) and with Swiss Roundtable Antibiotics (Swiss RTA).

 Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses one of the most urgent global health threats of our time, challenging the effectiveness of modern medicine and jeopardizing progress in healthcare. In response, the conference "Racing Against Resistance: The Future of Antimicrobials," brings together leading experts, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and industry representatives to address the complex landscape of AMR.

This meeting provides a comprehensive platform to discuss the current state of antibiotic effectiveness, the critical role of antimicrobials in areas such as cancer care, and the latest in AMR surveillance and antibiotic use monitoring. It also explores the pressing challenges and opportunities in antibiotic research and development, including interdisciplinary collaboration, translational hurdles, and regulatory pathways.

New innovative strategies to foster the availability and accessibility of new antibiotics and ideas to catalyze action, inspire innovation, and build stronger partnerships to safeguard the future of antimicrobial therapy for generations to come.
